She chose Internal Medicine for her Residency and a Fellowship in Geriatrics at New York Medical College at Saint Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center. Her expertise focuses on patients in long term care facilities. <br /><br /> Training in geriatrics she became expert in polypharmacy, drug- drug and food - drugs interactions. After becoming Chief Medical Resident, he decided on a Fellowship in Cardiology, and afterwards pursued another Fellowship in Interventional Radiology. During those few years, he specialized in Coronary and Peripheral Intervention, Coronary and Peripheral Angiography through Radial Approach, and Elective Intervention and PAMI (Primary PCI) including IABP placement in patients with STEMI and NSTEMI. <br /><br /> One of Dr. Gupta’s main approaches is the use of alternative medicine for cardiovascular disease, focusing on methods such as good nutrition, exercise and stress management to reverse heart conditions while avoiding potentially dangerous and invasive therapies. The majority of her clinical training was based out of hospitals and rural clinics in Atlanta, Georgia. Her interest in incorporating alternative medicine with traditional western medicine has profited Modern Medical, thus approaching diseases from a different perspective to promote preventative health care.
