Medicare Wellness Visits

The Medicare Annual Wellness Visit is a preventive appointment focused on your risk factors, screenings, medications, memory and mood, safety at home, and the plan for the year ahead. It is distinct from a problem-focused visit.

What to Expect

Your physician reviews your history and current medications, checks which screenings are due, discusses function and independence, and produces a personalized prevention plan. Anything needing treatment is scheduled as its own visit.
