A Holter monitor records your heart's rhythm continuously over a day or more, which catches palpitations and rhythm changes a brief in-office tracing would miss.

What to Expect

The monitor is fitted in the office with instructions for wearing it and keeping a symptom diary. Once the recording is analyzed, your physician reviews the findings with you and arranges cardiology involvement if the rhythm calls for it.
